COVID RELIEF EFFORTS

 AWARENESS AGAINST THE COVID-19 

Awareness-building programmes covered topics like social-distancing, best practices related to public health and hygiene and behaviour change, sanitization, use of face masks, and ways to protect people from community spreading of the epidemic. Camps were conducted in factories and industries to make the workers aware.

 

As part of the awareness programme, children created posters, wall paintings and short videos on hand washing, social distancing and wearing masks.

 HYGIENE KIT DISTRIBUTION 

Sneh Samarpan Foundation distributed more than 10,000 hygiene kits including soaps, sanitizers, face masks, gloves, sanitary napkins and study materials in addition to protective gear and disinfectant supplies to the underprivileged communities.

 COVID-19 VACCINATION 

Even though there are many people willing to get themselves vaccinated, the complexities of doing so and the unavailability are not allowing them to do so.

 

In order to tackle this, Sneh Samarpan Foundation partnered with district health authorities to connect more than 5000 individuals directly with the vaccination centre and also conducted vaccination camps in 10+ industries of Bhilwara.

 GROCERY & RATION KIT DISTRIBUTION 

Marginalised sections of the society like daily wage labourers, the homeless population, beggars, slum-dwellers, several low-income groups as well as elderlies who live alone weren't able to evade the coronavirus to get enough food to stay alive.

Sneh Samarpan Foundation took a step forward to provide them with essentials like dry ration, and personal care material. More than 10,000 families were benefitted through this initiative.

 NUTRITIOUS MEALS DISTRIBUTION 

The adolescence period is an intense anabolic period when the requirements for all nutrients increases. The poor food habits, lack of resources and lack of nutritional awareness are considered to be the main factors in determining nutritional status.

During the intervention period, we tried to change the poor food habits, and raise awareness about how even poor people can have nutrients rich diet. More than 2,00,000 nutritious food packets and fruits were distributed.

 ASSISTING MIGRANT WORKERS REACH HOME 

Just as the pandemic hit, there was a lot of chaos especially with the panic amongst migrant workers.

Sneh Samarpan Foundation collaborated with local government to assist more than thousands of workers to reach their hometown.

 AUTO-RICKSHAW AWARENESS 

Using auto-rickshaws is an effective method to create awareness in the people about COVID-19 and how to tackle it.

​

 

We initiated a field based outreach and awareness programme through travelling audio announcement system, in Bhilwara. Under this programme, Auto Rikshaw is installed with pre-recorded audio announcements and messaging to create awareness about Corona issue.
